SSRI's are interesting as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like fluoxetine (prozac) are being called out as a conduit to even worse depression and suicide. To wikiquote:

Akathisia is the most terrifying loss of bodily control..your legs will not stop twitching and it is impossible to sit and rest. One has to either walk, pacing up and down, walking to anywhere, anywhere at all, or take a sleeping pill and lie flat. Cooking is not an option as it is too dangerous to be handling pots of boiling food and eating in itself not a fun time when one shakes uncontrollably and unpredictably. Driving is out (no brainer) and social activity severely curbed as the actions precipitated by akathisia can be interpreted as tourettes, psychosis or anything else deemed to be unusual, undesirable or just plain dangerous. It is in fact the SSRI’s which are dangerous and the undiscovered/undocumented side effects from interactions with new substances, drinks, foods etc. would appear to be numerous and scary.
The 'biology of depression' completely ignores environmental degradation, financial status, relationship struggles, abuse, bullying, diet, blood type, social conditioning and family support or lack of, and parasites. The ‘biology of depression’ is it’s own thing, sitting in a pastel coloured disney style castle built on the sand of hysterical laughter from the shareholders and twinkling in the eyes of mega-mart billionaires, showering plastic nano-particles into the earth’s atmosphere.

I kept a story from the Guardian, of all places, featuring a young woman who had been diagnosed as suffering from ‘sexomnia’, a rather disparaging term in view of the fact that it doesn’t really express anything other than ‘sex all over the place’ .
