Well you called me a boomer & you did it with smarm
The horizon was yellow… confusion, yes ma’am
A smile’s always good if it doesn’t alarm
It has to be genuine, honest and calm…
In a queue pray for patience like an eye in a storm
Because silence will hasten the return of the calm…
And at bedtime I pray that I set the alarm
So my body clock tenders a rout through to calm..
If you don’t understand why I wrote without charm
Just imagine my brain as an ocean of calm…
And the cleaning is endless when the house is a barn
Because projects aplenty do not give rise to calm..
If you took all my words ‘cos my singing is balm
Then perhaps throw some credit with your bowling arm
Because waiting for Godot becomes quite a farm
While the animals riot there’s much need for calm…
