To quote the "enquiry", '"Do you accept that government had a responsibility, in the circumstances that were being reported from overseas, to protect the public of New Zealand?" Illingworth asked.' why must 'overseas' be the standard?  Does nz really have such an inferiority complex that 'overseas' is what sets the agenda? Or, to my mind, 'overseas' really means the delicious 5eyes soup which bubbles away in a cauldron of deceitful surveillance, lovingly provided by the egregious financial demands of the data farming technological/banking behemoth which casually threw in a few million crspr sets, freely available on 'Amazon' (while the actual river chokes with pollutants)
